The Illusion of the Handwriting Effect can be easily achieved by using Frame by Frame Animation.

✗ Open YOUR PROJECT in Flash …



… (Remember: all these tutorials are intended to be
applied to YOUR PROJECT) …

✗ … add a New Layer and name it.
✗ Lock all the layers you're not using.

✗ Draw a box and type something you can use in your project.

Add caption
✗ Scrolling through the fonts is easy with the Down Arrow key
✗ Set the color and size here too …

✗ Click on the text with the Selection Tool selection tool
✗ Hit (F8)

✗ Be sure to convert the image to a Movie Clip, not Button.

✗ Double-Click on the text with the Selection Tool.
✗ Notice you now have two icons on the timeline.

✗ That means you are working on a "Movie INSIDE the main Movie."

✗ Hit the keyboard shortcut Cmd (⌘) +B 3 times!
✗ It's broken apart fully when it's covered with dots …

✗ Hit f6 to make a new keyframe.
 
✗ Notice you now have two keyframes …

✗ Select the Eraser Tool

✗ Erase the end of the last letter.
✗ Now hit f6 to make another keyframe - and erase a little bit more …
✗ Hit f6 again and again, erasing more each time.
✗ Hit F6 twice between the letters to add an extra space.

✗ Click the layer to selects all the frames …
click the layer
✗ Then, go to: Modify > Timeline > Reverse Frames or right-click the frames and hit Reverse Frames.
✗ Now your frames have been reversed.

✗ Go out about 15 frames PAST your last frame and hit f6 again to insert a keyframe.

✗ Go back to your Scene

✗ Then go to: File > Export > Export Movie
✗ Export it as an .swf file
✗ Attach both your .fla and .swf files …
